Here's the Difference Between the Yamaha YZF-R15 v4 and the Yamaha YZF-R15M

Yamaha is one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers. Recently, Yamaha has officially launched two new motorcycle products, namely the YZF-R15 v4 and YZF-R15M. Both 150cc sportbikes were officially launched in India.

From the name, it carries the same concept, such as the YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M. However, the R15M is very different from the R1M which is in the track-only category. R15M is still legal to use on the highway.

Yamaha YZF-R15 v4 comes with 3 color variants, namely Metallic Red, Dark Knight, and Racing Blue. Meanwhile, the Yamaha YZF-R1M comes in 2 color variants, namely Metallic Gray and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition.

Both Yamaha motorcycles are equipped with a 155cc, SOHC, liquid-cooled engine with VVA technology. The power generated is quite large which reaches 14.2 kW at 10,000 rpm and torque of 14.2 NM at 8,500 rpm.

Yamaha YZF-R15 v4 and Yamaha YZF-R1M are equipped with Assist and Slipper Clutch and are also equipped with Traction Control System (TCS).

However, for Quick Shifter, it has become a standard feature on the Yamaha YZF-R15M. While the ZYF-R15 v4 is only available in Racing Blue, other colors are optional and an additional fee will be charged to embed the Quick Shifter feature.

The other differences are more cosmetic. The Yamaha YZF-R15M has a 3D badge and on the top of the front suspension is the inscription R15M. For the back seat, there is also an embroidered YZF-R15M logo.

Front brake calipers from Bybre in gold. Then the swingarm and exhaust guard are coated in gray, which matches the body adding to the aesthetic impression of the bike.

For the price, the Yamaha YZF-R15M is slightly different from the Yamaha YZF-R15 v4. The YZF-R15M itself is priced at 177,800 rupees or around $2408.

While the Yamaha YZF-R15 v4 with Metallic Red color is priced at 167,800 rupees or around $2261.
